Arecibo Tests 21 & 22 March 2002
Greetings, FYI
The SETI antennas inside the Gregorian Dome at the Arecibo Observatory in
Puerto Rico are going to be calibrated. This calibration is going to be
performed using EME transmissions on 1296.000. The transmission is going to
be originated from NJ from the Phoenix Project Team.
In case anyone is interested in trying to receive the EME is going to take place on
21st March, 2002 at 18:30 EST for a period of 60 minutes and also on
22nd March, 2002 at 17:30 EST for the same period of time.
It is going to be CW and it is intended to be a one way transmission. Great opportunity to test your1296 receiving gear.
