01 May 2001

The activity weekend of 28 & 29 April coincided with the Dubus Worldwide EME Contest.

Activity was good on the Saturday, but was much lower on Sunday with some deterioration in signal levels after 2000 utc.

I made 44 QSO's during the contest giving me a score of 44 x 24 points.

Some new callsigns made an appearance in the contest, and I added further Initials with... DL1YMK, DL4MEA, JA6AHB, HB9BCD, F8COZ, DH5RZ .

This improved my standings to 152 Initials, 30 DXCC Countries, 6 Continents, 23 US States, 25 Large Grid Squares & 115 Small Grid Squares.

I also heard 9H1ES on CW (539) during a sked with KA0Y & later calling CQ on SSB (42) but was unsuccessful in calling him... maybe next month!!
