06 October

The new Moon was very close to the Sun today with only 2 deg difference in Azimuth and Elevation. This resulted in approx 6dB increase in noise level and made copy of weak signals a bit more challenging. Despite this, I did manage to make a few QSO's...

0931 HB9BBD 599/599 and 57/57 on SSB, 1103 OZ6OL 569/569, 1126 ZS6AXT 559/579, 1455 W7BBM 32/55 on SSB, 1555 F6ETI 419/519.

05 October

0958 DF4PV 56/55 on SSB, OZ6OL 569/569, 1339 G3LTF 569/569, 1401 K5JL 599/579 to 589.

Also heard F6ETI.

The activity weekend 28 & 29 September

The log say's it all... by comparison with recent activity, it was a very quite weekend. Moon rise was at 0100, and I guess many people opted for sleep instead of EME... maybe I should have done the same. Hopefully this will not be the case for the ARRL EME Contest next month.

Conditions were very good, especially on Sunday... I was hearing S8 echoes at times and minimum echo level was about 5 watts.

29 September

0457 OH2DG 559/559, 0538 ZS6AXT 559/579, 0654 IK3COJ 539/549, 0710 GW3XYW 55/44 on SSB, 0838 IK2MMB 569/559 for a really good CW chat, 0926 G3LTF 569/569.

28 September

0540 OZ4MM 579/569 and 55/55 on SSB, 0548 GW3XYW 569/559, 0622 N7AM 569/569, 0751 IK2MMB 559/569.
